Carbide Rotary Burrs, or rotary files or die grinder bits as they are sometimes called, are used for cutting, shaping, grinding, and removing sharp edges, burrs and deburring (removal of excess material). We have a large selection of shapes in single cut and double cut, non-ferrous and chip breaker or Diamond cut to help you get the exact form, smoothness and cut you require.

Coatings

We can also supply your tungsten carbide burrs with coatings to lengthen the life of your carbide burr. Titanium Nitride (TiN) is an excellent general-purpose coating. While Titanium Aluminium Nitride (TiAlN) coating can prove beneficial at higher temperatures. Titanium Carbo-Nitride (TiCN) offers excellent surface lubricity. Shank widths and lengths

We carry the regular shank sizes of 2.35mm (3/32″), 3mm, 3.17mm (1/8″), 6mm, 6.35 mm (1/4 “) and 8mm. These will fit the most reputable pneumatic rotary tools, die grinders and high-speed engravers and drills. Plus, hobby drills, micro motor or a high-speed handpiece, including Dremel.

Lengths of shank will give you greater depth; we carry extra long shanks. It should be noted that extra-long tungsten carbide burrs with 6mm shank over 150mm long and 3mm shanks over 50mm long should be used at reduced speeds. You can ask us to find the right shank and depth for your particular task. We also have double head burrs to save you money and time changing heads.
